Ye is acquiring Parler, the alternative social media platform owned by Candace Owens' husband George Farmer.
Parler's parent company announced the deal on Monday morning, saying West had made "a groundbreaking move into the free speech media space and will never have to fear being removed from social media again."
Buying Parler could make West the latest celebrity owner of a social media platform after former President Donald Trump's bid to ownTruth Social and Tesla CEO Elon Musk's proposed acquisition of Twitter.
"In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves," West said in a release by Parler.
As part of the announcement, Parler linked to West's account on the platform, which appeared to have launched simultaneously. As of early Monday, the account had roughly 500 followe
Ye West is under fire again due to his comments about George Floyd’s fentanyl usage before discussing the accusations of anti-Semitism made against him in the recent weeks.
“They hit him [George Floyd] with the fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that,” West said in an episode of Drink Champs.
Ye brought up George Floyd because of Candace Owen’s recent documentary, The Greatest Lie Ever Sold which investigated Floyd's death and the spending of Black Lives Matter.
The data from the documentary Ye is referring to involves Floyd’s toxicology report. The report shows 19 g of methamphetamine and 11 g of fentanyl. The lethal dose of fentanyl is 2 g.
Civil rights attorney, Lee Merritt, indirectly threatened a lawsuit against West for his comments.
In the same episode of Drink Champs, Ye discussed the black voice being controlled by Jews. He also claimed that he can not be anti-Semitic because he is a Jew himself.
“Jewish people have owned the black voice,” West said.
“Either it’s through us wearing the Ralph Lauren shirt, or it’s all of us being signed to a record label, or having a Jewish manager, or being signed to a Jewish basketball team, or doing a movie on a Jewish platform like Disney,” West continued. “We understand, and I respect what the Jewish people have done, and how they brought their people together.
West said Jews first came to money by performing divorce on Wall Street. He also discussed the Jewish influence on music artists.
“What they do is, the Jewish community, especially in the music industry, … entertainment, period, they’ll take one of us, the brightest of us, right, that could really feed a whole village. And they take and milk us until we die and then Stevie Wonder’s kid gotta get a job.”
Then West defended his claim of being a Jew himself.
“With the darker Jews, the [sic] lost tribes of Israel, who we are – we’re Jewish also. We’re from Africa. We’re the blood of Christ. So we’re not just black. We are Jewish people.”
West also explained his Tweet that got him banned from Twitter. The Tweet was a response to news stories about his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her former boyfriend Pete Davidson. Ye blamed “Jewish Zionists” for spreading the stories.
Ye’s now deleted Tweet said, “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE,”
He said he spelled “defcon” wrong.
“I have a tendency to do that,” West said, “Defcon is actually that you’re preparing to protect yourself.”
Due to the Tweet, several of his concerts were canceled which West also addressed.
“Once they cancel four So-Fi Stadiums because of what’s classified as wrong-think,” West said, “It’s very important to have the black vote in groupthink, and not separate from the thought and being completely in line with the Left, the Jewish media and the Chinese.”
When asked to explain the correlation between China and the current discussion about concerts, West said, “They got something to do with everything.”
