In June 2020, the New Jersey State Dept. of Education voted to adopt updated sex education standards for K-12 as a part of new Student Learning Standards for Comprehensive Health and Physical Education. These aren’t generic sex ed standards, however, they are radical, exploitative, and innocence-robbing. Formed and championed by Planned Parenthood (PP), the country’s leading provider of abortions, and various LGBTQ advocacy groups, the standards go beyond what is necessary for students to lead lives of “health and wellness.”

According to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund of NJ, these newly implemented standards “empower young people” yet the curriculum includes these objectives:
5th graders should be able to define masturbation and differentiate between sexual orientation and gender identity.
8th graders should be able to define vaginal, oral, and anal sex, as well as describe pregnancy testing, the signs of pregnancy, and pregnancy options (parenting, abortion, and adoption).
In an interview with Breitbart News, a former Planned Parenthood-trained sex ed instructor and founder of It Takes A Family, Monica Cline, said this of PP and its allies:
“I’m not sure if it’s gross denial, ignorance or willful oppression on the part of the counterfeit sexual freedom ideologues, but the systematic sexualization and objectification of our children is criminal. As they tout counterfeit ‘sexual freedom and rights’ to our children, they are paving a path to high-risk behavior that places our children at risk of disease, infertility, unplanned pregnancy, depression, and great regret… Not only are they deceiving our children, but they themselves are deceived.”
In the name of social justice and racial equity, Planned Parenthood has been pushing for sex-heavy education for children for years, and people like New Jersey’s First Lady Tammy Murphy are acquiescing to their harmful agenda. Meanwhile, with their history of eugenics and strategic placement of abortion clinics in minority neighborhoods (79% are within walking distance of black and Hispanic communities), Planned Parenthood has no place in adolescent education.

As these expanded sex ed standards are being implemented across the state, New Jersey parents are outraged by the lack of transparency from school boards and horrified by what their children are learning. Most recently, 11- to 14-year-old students at Pearl R. Miller Middle School were taught a lesson on transgenderism and shown a video titled “Ten Years On Testosterone” that highlighted the story of transgender rights activist, Aydian Dowling. It wasn’t until after the fact that parents realized they were never consulted on the content.

One mother who spoke with The Center for Garden State Families said:
"They did this without my permission. I decide at what age and how much detail my child will receive. As a parent, I have that right.”
New Jersey can now be added to the list of states in the fight for children, or in other words, the fight against sexual exploitation and state-controlled parenting. The good news? It seems parents are unequivocally in it for the long haul and they are rising up all across the nation. With so much at stake, parents recognize it's now or never.
