On February 13 , Christian, conservative actor Kevin Sorbo, best known for his role in the popular 1990s television show "Hercules: The Incredible Journeys," tweeted that Facebook deleted his official Facebook account with over 500,000 followers.
"BREAKING: Facebook has deleted my official account with over 500,000 followers. I have created a new page; spread the word!" Sorbo tweeted, along with a link to his new Facebook account.
The actor, who has been outspoken about his conservative Christian views, is no stranger to social media or Hollywood controversy.
Sorbo, a supporter of former President Trump, has been extremely outspoken and critical of the Joe Biden administration via social media. Sorbo’s tweets have been met with heavy criticism by Twitter users. Most recently, Lucy Lawless, who played the warrior Xena on "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" before starring in her own spinoff show, got into an ugly Twitter feud with Sorbo over the US Capitol riots in Washington, DC.
Although Sorbo has been blacklisted for being a Christian in Hollywood, it has not stopped him from pursuing acting. Sorbo has since turned to faith-based movies. He has been regarded as one of the most versatile actors in Christian films. Sorbo's most popular Christian filmed to date is "God's Not Dead," which ranked fifth at the US box office in 2014.
As of the date of this publication, Facebook has not disclosed why they terminated Sorbo's account.
